Routes into teaching

So you want to become a teacher? There are many routes into teaching -from Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The teaching 'bug' bites at many stages of life - not always when we can afford (financially or otherwise) to go off to University full time for three or four years. Many aspiring teachers might already have a degree, others have few qualifications except their enthusiasm. There are ways, and means, which can be tailor-made to fit your circumstances, qualifications and experience. Why not email us for advice at either office@bedgrove-inf.bucks.sch.uk or bedgrovetraining@aol.com.

Initial Teacher Training (ITT) can be carried out at undergraduate or postgraduate level via full or part-time courses, or through distance learning as well as modular courses. Such courses are often run from Universities and Colleges, however in some cases the training can be school based.

It is therefore possible
to earn whilst you learn...
